MEG ROONEY

A true Southern girl, Meg grew up in Memphis before transferring with her family to Dallas and Jacksonville for a year each.  Returning to Texas, she graduated from Abilene Christian University with a degree in accounting. Meg and her husband Mark raised their daughter and son in Gwinnett County where Meg still continues her volunteer work with youth swimming.  In 2014, Mark and Meg packed up their dog Max and moved to Big Canoe®.  They desired a community that would provide an abundance of activities to enjoy as they entered the empty nest phase of their lives and one that would provide fun activities to enjoy with their two grandsons.  Big Canoe® has been a home run in both counts.

Meg brings her high energy and attention to detail as she transitions from her successful accounting career of more than 40 years to real estate.  Her years of forensic accounting taught her how to go above and beyond in her research for her business clients, an approach she is finding serves her real estate clients perfectly.  Her years of consulting with the Department of Justice has trained her to pay attention to details, both the obvious and the obscure.  Careful listening is also a key element of that training and she is finding it effective as she works with clients to find their perfect home.  Her clients are already benefiting from her ability to thoroughly research property and analyze the data findings from that research as she helps them determine the value of the property they are buying or selling.  Recognizing that purchasing and selling a home are two of the biggest personal business transactions her clients will ever experience is the final benefit that makes Meg a natural choice as your Realtor®.
